Jessica Wolf’s Art of Breathing Teacher Training

Jessica Wolf’s Art of Breathing® is a 60-hour postgraduate certification program for Alexander Technique teachers.

The Art of Breathing is a distinct and cohesive method for restoring natural breathing rhythms and psychophysical balance. The technique integrates Jessica’s work in respiratory science and education with the principles of F.M. Alexander’s Technique and Carl Stough’s Breathing Coordination.

Curriculum

The curriculum is designed specifically for Alexander teachers and provides a structured methodology of principles and hands-on procedures. Graduates of the program enhance their teaching with tools that promote respiratory ease, vocal resilience, and overall wellbeing.

What distinguishes the Art of Breathing is its specific focus on the breath—its quality, flow, rhythm, geography, and motion—supported by hands-on guidance.

Who can apply?

Certified Alexander Technique teachers with a minimum of five years’ teaching experience. Exceptions may be granted at the program leader’s discretion.

Teachers who are interested in enhancing their skills of exploring internal movement and facilitating awareness, inhibition, and direction.  Breathing is not separate from Use, but intrinsic to it. Breathing is a whole-body experience, connecting emotional life, presence, and physical vitality.
